For Our Community | From Our Community
We seek to plant seeds of hope in our community by getting our hands dirty. While growing healthy produce for our neighbors in need, At the Colonial Garden, we can learn sustainable and organic gardening practices as well as laugh, and enjoy the fresh air. We hope the garden will be a place for building relationships while caring for the earth, growing good food, and sharing its nourishing harvest.
Colonial Garden, 2020:
In 2020, we planted green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers. A few members from the GHS football team donated time and built a fence around the garden, making it harder for critters. 100% of the work is done by volunteers. Donations helped provide seed, raised beds, and fencing.
